We understand that your privacy and the security of your personal information is extremely important to you. Your privacy is an absolute commitment of ours. If you provide information to us it will only be used in accordance with this policy. Our privacy policy is designed to be compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 4 May 2016 and applicable from 25 May 2018.

How do we use your personal information?

The information we collect includes your name, contact information including email, address and postcode.

This information is used to ensure we can communicate with you via email, telephone, and newsletter. Also to deliver your goods accurately. Tipsy Wight® also use this information for internal record keeping. 

Do we share your personal information with other parties?

We will never share personal information with any other company, individual or organisation unless required to do so by law. We retain this information on a secure server and will fully comply with all UK applicable Data Protection and consumer legislation in place. When you buy online from us your credit card information is processed by Worldpay on their own secure portals. Worldpay are the largest provider of secure online payments in the world and are a highly regarded and trusted organisation.

You should be aware that if we are requested by the police or any other regulatory or government authority investigating suspected illegal activities to provide your personal Information, we are entitled to do so. 

Your rights.

You have several rights under current data protection law which you can, in most circumstances, exercise in relation to the personal information we process about you. These are set out below:-

  • You can request details of the information we hold about you.

  • You can require us to correct inaccurate information we hold about you.

  • You have the right to restrict our use of your personal information.

  • You have the right to be forgotten.

  • You have the right to object to our use of your personal information.

In circumstances where we rely on your consent as the legal basis on which we use your information you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time.

How log do we keep your information for?

We will keep your personal information solely for the purposes set out in this privacy policy and in accordance with relevant regulations and the law. We never retain personal information for longer than is necessary. In the majority of cases we will delete personal information two years after your relationship with us ends, either as a buying customer or as a consenting reader of our newsletters and other communications. 

Security.

We take the protection of your personal information extremely seriously. Some of the precautions we take are as follows:-

  • Access to our buildings and access to our data systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.

  • We use various technology controls to prevent access to our systems and data.

  • Only personnel who need to have access to personal data and our systems are able to do so.
