Chilli Vodka

We grow seriously hot chillies and infuse them for months to create a powerful and complex flavour that people just love. Tipsy Wight Chilli Vodka adds a real kick to a Bloody Mary.

We use a blend of very hot chillies for our Tipsy Wight® Chilli Vodka, including the beautifully named Bhut Jolokia or Ghost Chilli, which we grow from seed in our greenhouses. Originating from the Assam region of India, the word Jolokia translates as Capsicum pepper. It has an extraordinarily long growing period, germinating in February and ripening right at the end of October, almost nine months.  Ghost chillis are 400 times hotter than Tabasco sauce, with a rating on the Scoville Scale of over one million. To calm things down a bit we blend this with Scotch Bonnet peppers and two types of Jalapeno pepper to create a rich and lasting flavour with all the romance of India.
